Tai Chi Connection (UK) Club Constitution
The club is called Tai Chi Connection (UK) Club. The purpose is to provide Tai Chi classes for health, wellbeing, and community connection.
1) Open to anyone who supports the club’s purpose.
2) A waiting list operates when classes are full.
3) There shall be no membership fee.
4) Fees are payable by half term
An individual is deemed to become a (full) member as soon as they attend classes,
pay the agreed fees, and complete a membership application form
5) Only certified instructors are allowed to teach in class
6) The Committee may suspend or exclude from training any member
for contravention of the agreed Club Constitution, or published codes of conduct.
Loose, comfortable clothing + flat shoes or bare feet. Bring water. Let the instructor know about any illness or disability.
The club offers any student the opportunity to progress to instructor level under Mrs Bao’s and her elected grading panel with the recommendation of their instructor.
Officers: Chair, Secretary/Treasurer.
The Committee manages club business, finances, and safety. Minimum 2 Committee members.
Funds used for club purposes: venue hire, insurance, instructor costs. Bank account in club name.
All members and instructors will:
· Treat others with respect and courtesy at all times
· Follow instructor guidance for safe practice
· Arrive on time and notify the instructor of injuries or health conditions
· Avoid disruptive behaviour, discrimination, or harassment
· Respect the venue and equipment
· Raise concerns with the instructors promptly
· Breach of this Code may result in a warning, suspension, or termination
The club holds public liability insurance. Incidents all injuries must be reported to the Secretary within 48 hours. Members participate at their own risk and should consult a GP if unsure about suitability.
Complaints procedure most issues can be resolved quickly:
Informal: Raise the issue with the instructor or within 14 days.
Formal: If unresolved, submit a written complaint to the instructor at email taichiconnect@gmail.com within 28 days of the incident.
Investigation: Tai Chi Connection UK will review within 21 days. You’ll get a written response. Their decision is final.
Records: All complaints kept confidential.
